Robert writes; "First off, let me tell you that I am not a professional musician. And I have never tried to earn money with my songs or by playing in public. Also, I am not trying to become a recording artist. I am looking for professional musicians to record my songs and make them sound the way they were meant to sound.
For over 25 years I have been a professional painter and wall-covering installer. I started out in the construction field at age 24 as a landscaper. Later on I took up carpentry. At the same time I bought a guitar for $85.00 at a swap meet, (flea market). I bought the Neil Young, Harvest songbook, and started to teach myself to play and sing. From the moment I picked up a guitar I have been writing music. I realized that my songs could only be as good as my musical skills. So, I took lessons and learned chord construction and how to properly construct a song.

The correlation between the work I do now and my songwriting is the detail. I'm obsessed with making everything perfect. And in both work and songwriting I've never competed with anyone but myself. In other words, I don't compare myself to anyone or try to imitate anyone's style. I just try to make each job or song as perfectly detailed as possible. As a guitar player and singer, I feel, I'm just average. Whereas my songwriting skills are very professional. I think that if you really love songwriting, It shows up in your music.

The music industry, in my opinion, is for the younger listener. But my music is for the older listener, or in one of my other opinions, the more intelligent listener. My lyrics tell a story and have to make sense. My songs may be a little longer than the average song; but, if you delete part of the story, than you can lose the meaning or it just doesn't make sense. So; like the music I grew up listening to, my music has the beautiful melody, which in turn, complements the great story.

Each song on my website will have an interpretation. This will tell the listener what the songs mean to me and help you really understand what the song is about. I prefer you read the interpretation first so there is more insight to my lyrics. Each song I write is completely different in style, rhythm and tempo. So, if you are a recording artist looking for new material, please contact me. My music has been setting on the shelf for way too long and I am really anxious to share my works with all the music lovers out there.

I guarantee originality and creativity beyond what you are used to hearing from other writers. But remember, this is old style and more for the older listeners."
